Dual Roller Blinds for a Light-Filled Caulfield North Home

We recently completed a window furnishing project in Caulfield North, 3161, installing dual roller blinds throughout the home. The combination of blockout and screen fabrics provides the flexibility to manage natural light, privacy and heat throughout the day, while maintaining a clean and understated look across the home.

The dual roller system was particularly important in adjoining kitchen and dining spaces, where a generous bay of windows allowed plenty of natural light into the rooms. While the abundance of light created a bright and welcoming space, it also meant these areas could become uncomfortably warm, particularly when the sun was coming through the windows in Summer.

Block the Light, Beat the Heat

For the blockout rollers, we used Texstyle’s Jersey Blockout fabric in Render. This soft neutral shade works seamlessly with the interior while providing excellent light control when full blockout is required. The blockout layer is especially useful during the warmer parts of the day, helping to reduce the impact of direct sunlight and create a more comfortable environment.

Paired with this, the screen roller blinds were made using Texstyle’s Kleenscreen in Pure White. The screen fabric allows natural light to filter through while helping to manage glare and maintain privacy, making it ideal for daytime use.

Privacy, Function and Control

Together, the two fabrics give the homeowners greater control over their environment without compromising the home’s bright, contemporary feel. The dual roller solution also provides the flexibility to use each blind independently, whether the priority is enjoying filtered daylight, reducing heat and glare, or creating a darker, more private space.

This Caulfield North project is a great example of how carefully selected fabrics and a practical dual roller system can combine functionality with a refined finish.
