Soft Romans Add a Touch of Romance in Ripponlea

Our recent Ripponlea (3185) project was all about creating a window treatment that felt relaxed, elegant, and beautifully connected to the home’s interior. The client came to us wanting soft Roman blinds with a subtle blue border trim. This refined detail added a gentle layer of colour while keeping the overall look calm and sophisticated.

A Tailored treatment With Timeless Texture

The finished romans feature Warwick’s Linesta. The main body of the Roman was constructed using this fabric in the colour Pearl which was paired with a 50mm border in Duckegg. This considered contrast creates a tailored edge that frames the blinds without overwhelming the simplicity of the design. The soft blue tone brings a fresh, cottage-inspired feel to the dining room, complementing the natural textures and light-filled space.

Displaying the Beauty of Natural Linen

Made from 100% linen, the fabric was chosen for its beautiful drape and organic character. When the Romans are lowered, the linen falls effortlessly, allowing the texture of the fabric to shine. When raised, the blinds fold into soft, casual layers that add warmth and movement to the room.

One of the most striking elements of this installation is the way the linen filters natural light. Rather than blocking the outdoors, the fabric gently diffuses sunlight, creating a soft, cool atmosphere throughout the dining space. This is a window treatment that feels both functional and inviting, offering privacy, texture, and a sense of understated luxury.

This Ripponlea project is a wonderful example of how carefully selected fabrics and thoughtful detailing can transform a room, creating a timeless finish that will be enjoyed for years to come.
