Soft Layers and Seamless Flow: A Beaumaris Living Room

We recently completed a beautiful window furnishing project in Beaumaris 3193, creating a warm, layered look for a family living room. The brief was all about balancing privacy and light control with a soft, relaxed finish that would complement the existing space.

For the windows, we installed screen rollers made using Texstyle Onescreen in Grey, providing a clean and contemporary layer with practical light filtering and privacy. The understated grey works effortlessly within the room, adding subtle structure without competing with the furnishings or natural light.

A Soft Sheer Backdrop

To soften the overall look, we paired the screen rollers with wavefold sheer curtains made using Nettex Bali in Flax. The sheer fabric creates a beautifully gentle backdrop across the windows, allowing natural light to filter through while adding warmth, texture and a sense of calm to the living space.

The linen tone brings a natural wash of colour to the room and works particularly well alongside the tone of the screen rollers. Together, the two layers offer flexibility throughout the day, while maintaining an elegant and cohesive appearance.

Falling in Line

One of the standout details of this installation is the bent track, which allows the wavefold sheers to follow the natural flow of the windows. Rather than forcing the curtains into a rigid straight line, the track curves with the architecture, giving the finished installation a beautifully considered feel.

The soft, layered finish enhances the space without overwhelming it. When we finished the install, we were happy to step back and see a comfortable, family-friendly living room with window furnishings that are as practical as they are refined.
