A Dining Space Made Cosy in Wantirna
Wantirna 3152
In recent weeks, we completed a window furnishing project in Wantirna 3152, installing a tailored combination of roller blinds and sheer curtains in the dining room of a local retirement village. The goal was to enhance natural light control, soften the interior atmosphere, and provide residents with both privacy and visual warmth in a high-use communal space.
Soft layers for a light-filled dining space
The dining room features a striking bay of windows that wraps around one end of the space, creating a bright and open setting throughout the day. To complement this architectural feature, we installed roller blinds made from Shaw’s Vibe in Cloud. The soft, neutral tone of the fabric allows for effective light filtering while maintaining a calm and contemporary aesthetic.
To add depth and softness, we paired the rollers with sheer curtains made from Warwick’s Paros in Snow. The sheers were carefully measured and made to fit within a recessed pelmet, ensuring a clean finish and allowing the fabric to fall seamlessly from ceiling to window ledge. This combination helps diffuse daylight across the room, reducing glare while maintaining a bright and welcoming environment.
Designed for comfort, privacy and ease of use
In a retirement village setting, functionality is just as important as appearance. The dual-layer system allows staff and residents to easily adjust privacy and light levels throughout the day, from full daylight during morning meals to a softer, more intimate atmosphere in the evening.
The finished installation delivers a refined, practical solution that respects the architectural features of the space while improving everyday comfort. The result is a dining room that feels calm, cohesive, and considered for its users.
