Sheer Drama in Glen Waverley

This autumn, we completed a refined window furnishing project in Glen Waverley (3150), bringing softness and vertical drama to a newly finished, modern interior. The brief focused on textural, tonal sheers that would complement architectural scale while maintaining a calm, cohesive palette throughout the home.

Textural Calm in a Tone-on-Tone Colour Scheme

In the bathroom, we installed a sheer wavefold treatment made of Warwick’s Paros in Pewter behind the bathtub. The subtle tonal variation of the fabric works in harmony with the surrounding stone and tile finishes, softening the harder surfaces without competing with them. The wavefold heading ensures a consistent, sculptural drape that reads as architectural rather than purely decorative, reinforcing the room’s quiet, spa-like atmosphere.

A Masterclass in Impact & Scale

The most striking element of the project is the sheer wavefold installation in the home’s void window. Here, scale becomes the defining feature. Using Nettex’s Cannes in Balsa, we installed a continuous drop exceeding 6 metres, allowing the fabric to fall uninterrupted from the upper level to the lower living space.

The height of the void transforms the curtain into a vertical architectural veil rather than a conventional window covering. As natural light filters through multiple storeys, the sheer fabric shifts in tone and density throughout the day, subtly animating the interior. This extreme drop amplifies the sense of volume within the home, drawing the eye upward and emphasising the building’s full spatial height. The result is a calm yet dramatic feature that anchors the entire living space through scale, light, and movement.
