In Mount Eliza (3930), we were asked to undertake a detailed refurbishment project for the Eliza Village Traditional Fish & Chippery. The aim was to restore and upgrade the shop’s folding arm awning system. The existing awning required full reclothing and reinstallation to ensure improved durability, visual appeal, and reliable day-to-day operation for a busy hospitality setting.

Given that the existing framework was in good condition, our objective was to maintain all original componentry while significantly enhancing the aesthetic presentation of the storefront. Our team carefully removed the worn fabric, inspected the mechanical components, and reinstalled the system with precision to ensure smooth functionality and a clean, refreshed finish. High foot traffic and coastal exposure typical of Mount Eliza village environments, made material selection and colour matching essential considerations throughout the process.

To achieve a cohesive and professional result, Defab’s Somerton Acrylic Plain in G302 (a strong royal blue) was chosen. This colour delivered a bold, consistent visual identity that complements the shopfront while offering excellent UV resistance and long-term performance.
