Motorised Zipscreens for a Private, Stylish Alfresco

For this Kew 3101 project, our client wanted to make their outdoor alfresco space more comfortable, versatile, and private without losing the beautiful garden views. We installed three custom Zipscreen awnings, designed to fully enclose the area and provide year-round usability.

The chosen fabric, Vistaweave Plus 95 in Woodland Grey, is a high-performance mesh that strikes the perfect balance between openness and privacy. Its clever weave allows for clear, uninterrupted views out while preventing visibility in from the street or neighbouring properties. At the same time, it offers excellent protection from harsh sunlight, glare, and heat, making the alfresco area a comfortable retreat in all weather.

Smart Motorisation & Seamless Control

These Zipscreens are fully motorised, making them easy to operate with just the touch of a button via a handheld remote. For those who love smart technology, the system can also be linked to home automation platforms like Google Home or Amazon Alexa, allowing control from a phone, tablet, or even by voice command. Whether it’s adjusting the screens for shade in the afternoon or creating privacy for an evening gathering, the process is effortless.

To complete the look, the headboxes were custom powder coated to match the home’s façade, ensuring a seamless, integrated finish that complements the property’s style.
