We Loved the 2026 Decor + Design Show!

A Day Amongst Creativity, Craftsmanship and Industry Leaders

Last week, Carmen, Rae and Lynden had the privilege of stepping into the inspiring world of the 2026 Decor + Design Show at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. For our team, the experience was about so much more than discovering new products and trends. The whole day was an opportunity to reconnect with the incredible community that surrounds the design industry and being reminded why we love what we do.

There is something incredibly special about spending time amongst peers, makers, creatives and influential figures who are all pushing the boundaries of what design can achieve. Walking through the show floor was a powerful reminder that our industry is built on curiosity, collaboration and a shared passion for creating spaces that feel meaningful. We left feeling incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be surrounded by such inspiring talent. The energy throughout the event was contagious, and it reignited our motivation to continue bringing fresh ideas, thoughtful choices and creativity into our own trade.

Discovering Details That Make a Space Extraordinary

One of the most exciting parts of the show was seeing how designers and brands are transforming everyday elements into opportunities for expression. A standout moment came from Clipsal Home, whose incredible switch plate fixtures challenged us to look differently at the details we often walk past without a second thought. Their designs elevated a typically functional feature into something that can genuinely contribute to the character of a space.

Warranbrooke also captured our attention with their gorgeous wine-coloured wall, creating a rich backdrop that allowed their artwork to truly come alive. It was a beautiful example of how considered colour choices can completely transform the way we experience and connect with interiors.

The Innate Collection’s Katherine Reverse textile display was another highlight, showcasing a level of creativity and storytelling that felt uniquely Australian. It spoke to a design language that could only have been born here — one that celebrates texture, craftsmanship and a deep connection to our surroundings.

Celebrating Innovation, Craft and Considered Design

We were also inspired by brands that are reimagining traditional processes and making design more approachable. BEDSaHEAD’s fresh approach to custom upholstery particularly stood out. We understand that large, custom pieces can sometimes feel daunting for customers, so seeing a brand create a more accessible and exciting pathway into personalised design was incredibly motivating.

Winya Indigenous Furniture impressed us with their considered and transparent process, as well as their commitment to proving that commercial spaces can be anything but boring. Their work demonstrates the power of infusing traditional crafts into environments that are functional, culturally connected and visually engaging.

A true showstopper for us was KD+PM (also known as Shibori Textiles), whose sculptural textile wall art completely knocked our socks off. Their work beautifully blurred the line between art and interior design, reminding us that walls can be canvases for creativity, movement and storytelling.

The entire Japan Pavilion was an unforgettable experience, with craftsmanship and attention to detail on full display. We were especially grateful to Kazutaka Tsuyuki for sharing his craft with us. The opportunity to learn from artisans who dedicate themselves so deeply to their practice was a privilege and a reminder of the importance of preserving and celebrating craftsmanship.

The 2026 Decor + Design Show was an incredible experience for Carmen, Rae and Lynden, leaving us inspired, motivated and full of fresh ideas. Events like this are a wonderful opportunity to step outside our everyday routines, discover new perspectives and reconnect with the passion that drives our work.

A huge thanks goes to the organisers and all the vendors who shared their creativity, knowledge and passion with us throughout the show. We truly appreciate the effort and innovation that goes into creating an event that brings the design community together.
